Preface
The aim of this bibliography is to index all Festschrifts and periodical literature published in South Africa covering the theological field. Articles appearing in older, discontinued journals as well as articles in current scientific theological journals and dissertations handed in at South African universities have been included in this bibliography. Items are arranged according to acknowledged different subjects. It must be remembered that all available material had to be categorised and that this to a certain extent determined the categories. For this reason, some unusual categories might occur. The vast task of working through the periodicals was the responsibility of messrs. W.C. Coetzer (1976), M. van Tonder (1977) and E.P. Jooste (1978-9). Specialists were enlisted to help in their different fields, and we thank them for their assistance in the categorising of subjects and classifying of articles:
Old Testament Prof. F.E. Deist
New Testament Prof. W.S. Vorster
Systematic theology Rev. E. van Niekerk
Practical theology Dr. J.A. Wolfaardt
Missiology and Science
of Religion Rev. W.A. Saayman
Church History Prof. C. F.A. Borchardt
The latter did the final editing and must in the last instance be held responsible for the classification. In particular we wish to thank Mr. E.P. Jooste who had a large part in the preparation of the manuscript for the press and Rev. D.F. Kilian who prepared the author index. Our thanks to Mrs. S. Winckler who was so meticulous in the typing of the manuscript. A special word of thanks to Miss S. Williams from the UNISA library who was always prepared to give advice and guidance. The bibliography is the result of an independent project of the Institute for Theological Research at UNISA and was prepared under the guidance of Prof. C.F.A. Borchardt as project leader.vi
Voorwoord
Deist
Nuwe Testament Prof. W.S. Vorster
Sistematiese teologie Ds. E. van Niekerk
Praktiese teologie Dr. J.A. Wolfaardt
Sending- en godsdienswetenskap Ds. W.A. Saayman
Kerkgeskiedenis Prof. C. F.A. Borchardt
C.F.A. Borchardt as projekleier.
